A freelance client that I've been working with for a few years - Merchant Cash Cloud - regularly asks for updates to brand, as well as more content to help their target audience understand the process of applying for a small business loan. They let me explore other styles of design and animation and I'd say we're both happy with the outcome.
I always start off boarding the entire piece, get them approved, and as I go through and update different sections, the client follows letting me know if approved.
I was also asked to make looping animation for ads that the client wanted placed on specified pages - which could also be used for promotion on social media platforms, so here's a few examples of those as well:
