A couple wakes up to a new noisy neighbor. This is how they handle it.
Nikko Thomas approached me with a script he was interested in making a reality. After that, over the course of getting together a few times, we made storyboards, discussed wardrobe and props, used our apartments for locations, then gathered a crew and auditioned actors. Once we had a solid cast, crew, and crafty plan, we shot this short comedy in a weekend.
Storyboards always help me solidify an idea, even if they’re super basic and not an exact bible for the set. After rewrites and replacement storyboards, I think we functioned well with our skeleton crew. Everyone there helped us move forward with a positive attitude and healthy critique for thoughtful coverage. Later I color corrected and edited all of the footage using Davinci & Premiere. I know I personally am looking forward to working with this team of talented freelancers on the next project.
